Have you ever met someone who vision and clarity to see what you cannot see? Well, Stacy Wig has been that person for me. Stacy has been convinced for a long time that I had the potential to be an amateur figure competitor. She also believed that I would do well. In March 2009, I blurted out, "I'll do it." Stacy never said that it would be easy. She said that I would have to work hard to succeed. She warned me that I would face obstacles and challenges. It was just a question of how badly did I want it. Stacy told me the one thing she knew was I could do it and do well. She assured me that she would be there every step of the way. Throughout my journey, Stacy has given more than 110%. The time and effort she put in is truly immeasurable. Stacy developed my nutrition and workouts plans. Both required frequent changes as time progressed. They weren't some old plans she pulled out of a drawer. They were customized to help me strengthen my weaker areas and enhance my stronger features. Each time there was a change she took the time to explain everything, and she made sure I understood. Additionally, Stacy was my motivator, confidante, shoulder to cry on, and voice of calm when the world seemed to be in chaos. Every time I needed her, she was only a phone call away. Stacy ensured that I was well prepared. She photographed me, videotaped me, guided me, and sometimes made me repeat things over and over to make sure I got it. No matter how difficult and trying I could be, Stacy would focus on the positive. Stacy was genuinely excited for me. She was proud of my performance and told me how well I looked on stage. I firmly believe that I would not have placed 2nd in the Open Figure division and 2nd in the Masters Figure Division without Stacy’s guidance and direction. In order to find out where I needed to improve Stacy told me to ask the judges once the competition was over. I inquired and they gave me several suggestions. Stacy stood nearby and could hear the conversation. The next day, Stacy called to check on me. She mentioned the Maryland State Championships which were scheduled to be held in six weeks. I agreed to compete on one condition. My Outer Banks vacation was three weeks before the competition, and I wanted to enjoy myself, so we came to an agreement on the nutrition plan. Stacy changed my workouts to focus on the judges suggestions. Additionally, she changed my nutrition plans. When I returned from vacation we met to assess my current position. Stacy complimented me on how well I maintained my fitness level. She tweaked the nutrition and workout plans, and scheduled posing and video sessions. She kept me focused on being confident in my stage presentation. Stacy asserted I could win if I wanted it. Secretly, I did, however, I remained calm because I did not want to appear cocky or over confident. The Maryland State Championships were held on August 8, 2009. I was competing in the Women’s Open Short and Masters 35+ divisions. The number of competitors was less than Philadelphia, but these women appeared to be tough competition. When my number was called, I was on automatic pilot (head up, chest lifted, etc., etc.). Just like Philadelphia with more self confidence. When I walked off stage a friend reminded me to watch my hand placement (i.e., don’t block the judge’s view of my lower body). Later that evening, I was overcome with emotion when I was awarded 1st in Women’s Open Short, Masters 35+, and Overall. Me, Ms. Maryland, it still brings a smile to my face. I am truly thankful for the support and guidance Stacy provided. I would never have envisioned achieving that level of success on my own. I am convinced that Stacy’s keen eye for detail and professional experience played significant roles in my accomplishments. This woman truly knows her stuff! She’s very good at finding the right balance for her clients. If you are looking for a personal trainer with the following qualities: dedication, humility, creativity, hardworking, passionate about fitness, open, honest, high degree of integrity, knowledgeable, dependable, reliable, tireless energy, motivating, and committed, then Stacy Wig is the trainer for you.
I joined Lifetime Fitness almost three years ago, and was immediately blown away by all of the exercise equipment readily available which in most fitness facilities is not the case. One of the other impressions I received was the abundance of family oriented activities available not just for the adults but children as well. As my time at LTF continued I worked out primarily on my own and did not take advantage of the numerous fitness classes that are conducted daily. At that point upon realizing that, I also realize I had hit a plateau in my training. So after observing the personal training staff at LTF, I decided to take the leap forward and hire a personal trainer. Believe me, after having eleven plus years in the US Army, I was very reluctant to think that someone could train me as well as I could train myself. Wow, was I ever wrong! Since working with Stacy Wig, I have gained lean mass and gained overall cardio/muscular conditioning much better than I ever did while in the Army. Stacy is the constant motivator who created my dietary and physical workout regimen, she is also always there to coach me through eating decisions and the always needed motivation to endure during workouts! At this point I am so pleased with my progress and the comments that I receive at home and work that I am looking to pursue competing in bodybuilding competitions. Without a doubt, LTF has made a world of difference in my family life as well my health. I am now a lean and mean 6ft 185lb with added strength and agility all thanks to taking that leap forward with LTF and Stacy Wig.
